Types of Cranes You Can Use for Your Business Landscaping
You want to attract as much attention as possible to your business, and sometimes this means attracting curb appeal. Landscaping the property is the best way to attract that curb appeal, but for that you need the right industrial equipment and supplies to get the job done quickly. One of those options is to use smaller scale cranes to help with landscaping timbers and other landscaping supply placement. If you have never looked at this option, and are considering renting a small crane for your landscaping and curb appeal needs, here are a few types of cranes you may want to consider.
Mini Tower Cranes
A mini-tower crane can help you move your landscaping timbers and larger landscaping supplies easily. They only require one person for their operation which can make it easier if you need someone to operate the crane, even for a day. These types of cranes are quick to build and quick to dismantle, making them ideal if you need to take them down at night or if you are under a time constraint to get the landscaping done and you don't have an overabundance of time to devote to putting up the crane and taking it down.
These cranes are still large and will need to be delivered if you do not have the proper transportation option. If you choose to rent a mini-tower crane, you may be able to have the crane delivered as part of the rental fee.
Floor Cranes
Floor cranes may sound like they are very stationary, but the truth is most do have rollers that allow you to move them to a location of your choice. These cranes are primarily used on flat surfaces or in warehouses, but may be ideal if your landscaping projects are for areas surrounding flat surfaces like parking areas and concrete driveways or walkways. You can move the floor crane as needed and it can help balance and hold landscaping bricks, timbers, and other supplies.
Mobile Cranes
Mobile cranes cover a wide variety of portable crane options that can range from floor cranes to cranes that can be used on uneven land through the use of rollers and balanced adjustable feet. If the idea of a mini-tower crane is too much and a floor crane doesn't seem right either, then a construction or contracting supply rental can help you find the right mobile crane that will assist your needs. These are usually smaller and may be ideal for smaller working areas and landscaping projects.
These are just three of the basic options. If you aren't sure if these will work for you, or what crane may be ideal, contact your local landscaping rental for options and price estimates.
